The first meeting of the PRODIGY project (PROmoting Digital and Green skills for Youth) in Milan took place in January 15-16 2025.
The aim of the project is to facilitate the employment and active participation in civic life of 240 young people aged 15-29 who are neither in employment, nor in education, or training (NEETs). Organizations from Italy, Greece and Bulgaria are partnering for this purpose: L’Albero della Vita Foundation Italy (leading the consortium) , Mondo Digitale Foundation, Adecco Italy, Roma Tre Research University – Rome, Action Aid Hellas (Greece) and Partners Bulgaria Foundation.
The project is an European extension of the innovative social practice DIG4ALL, funded by the Fondo per la Repubblica Digitale in Italy. This methodology promotes the acquisition of digital, green and professional skills through an educational approach, individualized plans for each young person and the strengthening of social networks with multiple stakeholders.
The new PRODIGY project (PROmoting Digital and Green skills for Youth) aims to promote social change and employment in the target countries Italy, Greece and Bulgaria and cities: Catanzaro, Reggio Calabria, Naples, Palermo, Thessaloniki, Blagoevgrad and Gotse Delchev through:
Training and certification of digital and green skills.
Inclusion of vulnerable youth, including migrants, Roma and people with disabilities.
Engagement of 120 companies in youth social values clusters.
Activation of 120 internships and 240 job interviews to facilitate entry into the labor market.
Communication campaign reaching 30,000 young people in the three countries.
Dissemination of innovative practices at local, national and European level.
Creation of local networks and tools to promote the adoption of the PRODIGY model in other European countries.
Policy recommendations to address the challenges of integrating NEETs into employment.
The training program include modules such as: Basic and advanced digital skills Social media marketing Web design Data analytics Eco-skills, sustainability and sustainability management.
The project is co-funded by the European Union.
