A transnational workshop organized by Save the Children, Italy, Partners Bulgaria Foundation and PAR Portugal under the project A child rights approach to combat bullying in detention and residential care settings with the financial support of the EC – Just, Equality and Citizenship Program /JUST/2014/ACTION GRANTS.

Partners Bulgaria Foundation took part in a transnational workshop in Brussels to present project results including research findings, General Guidelines and child-friendly leaflets, to key European stakeholders and institutions. It also included a round table session discussing future perspectives on anti-bullying child rights based approach. Key research findings on youth and staff in detention centres were presented by Professor Antonella Brighi from the University of Bologna. The anti-bullying action plan implementation in detention and residential care settings in Bulgaria, Portugal and Italy were presented by Dr. Daniela Kolarova, Partners Bulgaria Foundation, Maria Inês Santos,  Par – Respostas Sociais and Alessia Romano and Francesca Bocchino, Save the Children, Italy.  Mr. Margaret Tvite, from the EC – DG Just, took part in the discussions about the lessons learned, the way forward and defining an effective anti-bullying model and practices based on needs of the Juvenile Justice services.
